Reddit & Social Search Strategist

At Rise at Seven, this role sits at the sharp end of search-led social — where Reddit strategy and SEO thinking drive what gets made, not just how it performs. You'll treat Reddit as a search engine and a community in its own right, and treat TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest the same way: as discovery surfaces with their own keyword logic. Content planning follows the search insight, not the other way round.

This is a client-facing role. You'll run accounts, mentor junior team members, and be the person clients turn to when they want to know why something is (or isn't) showing up.

This role is for you if you have:

• Demonstrable Reddit strategy or community experience — subreddit-native content, pitching commercial Reddit opportunities, AMA and community-led campaigns, and a working understanding of karma, moderation norms, and how brand presence survives (or dies) in community-first spaces


• Strong SEO fluency — comfortable running keyword research, briefing search intent into content, and speaking the same language as an SEO team without needing translation


• Demonstrable social search experience across TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest — keyword-led content planning, discoverability strategy, and platform-native SEO


• 3-5 years' experience in social media strategy or management, ideally agency-side, with a track record of owning accounts end-to-end


• A portfolio of case studies showing measurable search and discoverability impact, not just content output


• Confidence leading client relationships and difficult conversations without a Lead in the room

What you'll own

Reddit & Search Strategy

• Build and pitch commercial Reddit strategies — subreddit selection, community-native content formats, AMA and organic seeding opportunities, and brand presence that respects community norms


• Lead keyword research and search-intent mapping across Reddit, TikTok and Instagram, briefing this directly into content plans


• Own the intersection with traditional SEO — identify where social search opportunities overlap with the SEO team's roadmap and brief this in collaboratively

Content Planning & Performance

• Lead content calendars, formats and series grounded in keyword and search insight first, platform trend second


• Own performance tracking against search and discoverability metrics (share of search, keyword ranking movement on platform, community engagement quality) — not just reach and engagement


• Build reporting narratives that connect content performance directly to search visibility outcomes

Client Delivery & Leadership

• Own day-to-day client communication and lead check-ins, updates and reporting conversations independently


• Translate search and Reddit strategy into confident, senior-level client narratives — including the commercial case for Reddit spend


• Manage workflow across strategists, creator managers and creators; maintain visibility of risk and priorities across the account


• Act as an escalation point for junior team members

Budget & Resource Allocation

• Manage and allocate budgets across content production, creator spend and platform prioritisation, with commercial accountability to Leads

Platform & Cultural Intelligence

• Track Reddit's evolving ad/organic ecosystem and TikTok/Instagram SEO changes as a primary responsibility, not a side interest


• Translate platform and search behaviour shifts into scalable, brand-relevant content ideas ahead of competitors
