About the Role:

Summary: Are you an experienced caregiver already living in Redmond and looking for a fulfilling opportunity close to home? We are seeking a reliable and energetic individual to join our backup care and on-call childcare team, providing in-home care to local families. As part of this role, you'll enjoy a housing stipend to support your cost of living in the Redmond area. This position is ideal for someone passionate about working with children, particularly infants, and eager to make a difference in families' lives.

Job Duties:

Providing backup and on-call childcare in family homes, primarily for infants and toddlers.
Engaging children in age-appropriate activities such as playtime, reading, arts & crafts, and outdoor fun.
Handling daily caregiving needs: meal preparation, diapering, nap schedules, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
Assisting with light housekeeping duties related to childcare (e.g., tidying play areas, children's laundry).
Coordinating with families to adapt to their specific needs while ensuring high-quality care.

Housing Stipend: Offered as a benefit for candidates already residing in Redmond.
Supportive Team: Be part of a dedicated group of caregivers making a positive impact on children’s lives.
Flexible Overtime: Option for as many additional hours as desired.

Qualifications:

Local Residency: Must currently reside in Redmond, WA (98052).
Childcare Experience: Proven experience caring for children, particularly infants.
Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications required (or willingness to obtain before starting).
Commitment: Reliable and available to meet the full-time schedule (40+ hours/week) with occasional on-call shifts.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in various family homes and multi-generational households.
Probationary Period: Initial trial period with potential for a long-term commitment based on performance.

Schedule: Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7am - 7pm, with weekends off.

Pay: $21-23 an hour Plus a housing stipend

**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
