Pipco Truck Service Center is a highly qualified company that services and repairs freight trucks and trailers and performs preventative maintenance for commercial vehicles and fleets. Our team of experienced and dedicated technicians possess the necessary experience to get the job done accurately and timely. We service various equipment such as Tractors, Trailers, Farm equipment, etc.

We have a current opening for an experienced Reefer & Tractor Trailer Technician to work out of our Rosenhayn NJ facility. This is a full time, day shift position.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform Reefer preventative maintenance on a varying fleet of trailers

• Perform tire changes

• Ensure compliance with safety-sensitive areas in accordance with FHWA and DOT rules and regulations

• Inspect, service, and repair trailer refrigeration system

• Safely operate a vehicle in accordance with CDL guidelines

• Safely operate customer and company-owned vehicles inside the yard as needed

• Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, report injuries/accidents immediately, demonstrate safe behavior at all times, especially when using company property and/or operating equipment and vehicles

• Perform associated tasks in various environments

• Conduct self in a positive manner and act in accordance with company, state, federal and local guidelines

• Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records in accordance with Federal, State, and company policies

• Complete all required documentation and utilize our company-specific work order system

• Document & research records of work performed and parts used on work orders

• Work with other mechanics and technicians to work efficiently and effectively

• Follow supervisor instructions

• Work in adverse weather conditions

• Maintain a clean and organized working environment

• Demonstrate internal and external customer service

• Professionally represent Pipco at all times

• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must possess a clean driving record

• Have the ability to pull trailers in and out of the shop for maintenance

• Must Possess Tools & Toolbox associated with job class or classes

• Knowledge of Federal, State, and DOT regulations

• Basic computer skills preferred

• Must be able to work independently

Physical Requirements

• Perform equipment inspections and repairs on uneven ground and in adverse weather conditions

• Enter and exit tractors and trailers and other equipment with proper techniques

• Ability to lift 50 pounds

• Follow all company policies and safety procedures
