Vernon Health is seeking an organized, customer-focused Referral Specialist to coordinate patient referrals, scheduling, and health information workflows while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate referrals, monitor work queues, and schedule appointments.


• Verify documentation and send complete referral information to the appropriate departments or facilities.


• Communicate with patients, providers, and outside facilities to support timely follow-through.


• Manage faxed records, information-release requests, and related patient care workflows.


• Support specialty referrals and provider scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Healthcare office experience is preferred; familiarity with medical terminology and records is helpful.


• Strong computer, organization, communication, and customer service skills.


• Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, collaborate effectively, and protect confidential information.
