Job Description - Refrigeration Technician

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance & Repair: Servicing compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
  • Diagnostics: Identifying faults in electrical and mechanical components.
  • Installation: Setting up new refrigeration systems in commercial settings.
  • Compliance: Ensuring EPA -certified handling of refrigerants.
  • Documentation: Updating work orders and documenting repairs. 
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is highly preferred.
  • Certification: EPA Type I & II Certification (mandatory for many roles).
  • Experience: Often 2+ years of experience in HVAC/R, though entry -level positions exist.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work on ladders, and operate in confined spaces.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of electrical circuits, and proficiency with hand/power tools.
