Reg Dietitian/Rd Elig U

Provide in-depth nutritional assessment and follow-up for patients at high nutritional risk.  Determines appropriate nutrition diagnosis and develops appropriate individualized care plan including discharge recommendations, which may include instructions on appropriate diet therapies for patients/family.  Performs nutrition-focused physical exams as appropriate. Actively participates as a core team member in an interdisciplinary coordinated patient care program and on committees for the development and revision of nutrition-related policies and procedures.  Assesses patients to determine the level of care and implement care plan in patients of moderate or potential risk.  Acts as a source of nutrition care expertise to MMC staff and associates.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree or higher degree in Nutrition or related field from an accredited college required


• Master's Degree preferred


• Completion of qualifying experience and Registered Dietitian (R.D.) by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)


• Status with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND/ADA)


• Registration Eligible (RDE) status is acceptable conditional on the taking and passing of the next AND CDR qualifying exam for Registered Dietitians (within 6 months).


• Maintenance of continuing education requirements mandated by the AND CDR
