Job Description - Regional Wound Care Manager - RN






Overview






• Department: Regional Staff 

• Schedule: Monday-Friday- 8am-5pm 

• Multi-facilities: Resurrection Medical Center and St. Joseph-Joliet 

• Location(s): Chicago, IL 60631 AND Joliet, IL 60435

• Extras: Wound Care Certification Required (WCC, WOCN, or CWS), acute care, and inpatient/outpatient 

  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise wound care nurses and clinical staff
    • Provide training and ongoing education on wound care protocols
  • Program Management
    • Develop and implement wound care policies and procedures
    • Track quality metrics (healing rates, infection rates, pressure injury prevalence)
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration
    • Work with physicians, dietitians, physical therapists, and infection control teams
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., CDC, CMS, Joint Commission)
    • Maintain accurate patient records and audits








Responsibilities






The Regional Manager of Wound Care coordinates with all inpatient wound care and outpatient wound center  & hyperbaric services to enforce and implement Prime Healthcare wound care policies and practices in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Communicates with wound care team and physicians/LIPs regarding changes in current wound care practices based on clinical evidence. Assists the Corporate Director of Wound Care in enforcement of standardized policies and practices for all inpatient and outpatient wound care and hyperbaric programs. Assists in Cost effective standardization of equipment and supplies. Analyzes performance, productivity, and staffing of outpatient wound care programs. Assistance in financial report analysis. Assists in the development of cost effective and innovative solutions. Assists in the education of staff. Available to travel to designated facilities throughout their assigned region. The Manager presents a positive image of Prime hospitals to patients, visitors, physicians and the public.

 

Travel between all Chicagoland locations is required, with significant time spent at Resurrection Medical Center and Saint Joseph - Joliet initially.









Qualifications






EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

Required qualifications:

 

1.    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) degree

2.    Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse.

3.    BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

4.    Wound Care Certification Required (WCC or WOCN or CWS)

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

1.    Certification in Hyperbaric Technology.

2.    Three or more years’ experience in an acute care hospital setting.

3.    Inpatient wound care/Outpatient wound care center

4.    Previous experience in management of Out-patient Wound Care Centers a plus

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $99,840 yr to $144,601.60 yr on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
