Job Brief:

Our growing dental practice is searching for a detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant who can assist the dentist during patient appointments in a relaxing, non-rushed environment. We are looking for someone who is committed to excellent patient care, including infection control, instrument maintenance, and patient education. The ideal candidate will be available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8am to 5pm, with opportunities for additional weekdays.

Responsibilities:

  • Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during dental procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for dental treatments, take dental X-rays, and maintain patient records and charts on the computer.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols, maintain a clean and sterile environment, and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Instrument Maintenance: Clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments, as well as order and maintain dental supplies.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care guidelines.


Skills Required:

  • Dental Assisting Certification: Must be a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or have completed a Dental Assistant program.
  • X-ray Certification: Possess X-ray certification.
  • Cosmetic and implant dentistry knowledge is a plus.
  • Digital dentistry knowledge is a plus.
  • Infection Control Knowledge: Familiarity with infection control practices and OSHA regulations and have met CA required training hours.
  • Dental Software Proficiency: Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., CurveHero) is a plus.
  • Patient-Centric Approach: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to keep treatment areas and instruments organized.
  • Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work cohesively within a dental team.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • CPR Certification: Current CPR certification is needed.
