Registered Nurse - Correctional Center - Newport, VT

Job Title: RN

Location: Newport, VT

Rate: Up to $2375.00 Gross weekly + benefits available

Shift: 12-hour Nights and 12-hour days both available 

Contract: 13-week Contract; Local or Travel accepted

Requirements:
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience preferred
• Ability to work in a correctional setting

Certifications:
• Active RN License
• CPR/BLS Certification

Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Obtain diagnostic tests and assist with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed
• Count and document controlled substances according to policy
• Document nursing encounters accurately and timely
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, providers, and other healthcare personnel
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and protocols
