Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (RN)

Job Overview

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) at Gateway, you’ll be on the front lines of care, making fast, high-impact decisions that truly matter. Every shift brings variety, urgency, and the opportunity to care for patients at their most vulnerable moments.

You’ll provide direct patient care while using strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and teamwork to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate treatment in a fast-paced emergency setting.

In this role, you will also supervise care delivery, coordinate individualized plans of care, and provide clear education and support to patients and their families during stressful situations.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Emergency Department


• Use clinical judgment and critical thinking to assess and respond to changing patient conditions


• Supervise and coordinate nursing care provided by the team


• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care


• Educate patients and families to support understanding and recovery


• Collaborate closely with providers and interdisciplinary staff to ensure timely, effective treatment

What You Bring

Required:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or a compact licensure state

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)


• Previous Emergency Department experience
