Registered Nurse, Full-Time Days, 7a-3p, Preprocedure Evaluation Center, Atlantic Health Morristown

Always uses good interpersonal and communication skills with patients, family members and other staff. Accurately and thoroughly completes all nursing documentation needed for patients seen at PPEC/AC or when speaking to patients over the phone which includes medical and surgical history, allergies, medication intake, fall assessment, education, and other pertinent information. Completes nursing assessments in Epic.  Reports any abnormalities to the appropriate staff, such as surgeons' offices, anesthesiologists, etc. Educates patients and family members as needed either on a one-to-one basis or in a formal education class. Gives the appropriate pre-op instructions specific to the patients' needs and their scheduled surgery.

Required:
1.    Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
2.    Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
3.    BLS certification.

Preferred:
1.    Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
a.    All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
2.    Master’s degree in nursing or related field.
3.    1+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area.
4.    ACLS certification.
