Compass Care is a concierge Private Duty Home Care company (a non-medical, companion care company). We are seeking an energetic, entrepreneurial Registered Nurse to become our Director of Professional Development and Quality Assurance.

The ideal candidate must possess:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work well with demanding clients, client services and management teams in the home office.
• Must be able to fully support CNA caregivers in the field. Should be a self-starter.
• Must be able to work independently as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Clinical field support and training of caregivers. Responsible for ensuring a high level of clinical awareness among our caregivers.
• Medical/psycho-social assessments of new clients
• Development of Plans of care for all clients
• Regular visits and monitoring of existing clients
• Periodically, be on call as Administrator and Clinical Manager on Duty.
• Visiting clients regularly and as needed
• Professional manner interfacing with clients, families, and physicians as needed
• Support, teaching, and evaluation of nurses’ aides
• Develop in-service curriculum and provide professional development for staff
• Liaison between caregivers and clients
• Educating clients and families
Qualifications:
• Experience with older adults and in-home care.
• Institutional experience and experience with dementia a plus.
• Current CT and NY nursing license
