DESCRIPTION

Vision Quest Solutions is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide inpatient Medical-Surgical nursing services at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico.

The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care to a diverse inpatient population, including patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, surgical and post-operative needs, and palliative-care needs. Clinical populations may include patients with diabetes, alcohol withdrawal, pneumonia, sepsis, and other complex medical conditions. GovTribe

Responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring
• Provide direct inpatient Medical-Surgical nursing care
• Care for acute and chronically ill patients
• Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitor changes in patient condition and respond appropriately
• Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Provide patient and family education
• Support safe admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Maintain infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Float to a comparable unit within Northern Navajo Medical Center if required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Current, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license
• Qualified to provide inpatient Medical-Surgical nursing services
• Current required professional certifications and licensure
• Demonstrated Medical-Surgical nursing competency
• Ability to successfully complete required credentialing and onboarding
• Ability to meet applicable IHS background/security requirements
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Ability to work rotating weekends
• Ability to provide reliable scheduled coverage
• Current resume and applicable license/certification documentation
• Ability to complete the required nursing skills checklist
