Join a collaborative Pediatric Rheumatology team dedicated to providing ongoing care for children with chronic rheumatologic conditions. This full-time RN position works four 10-hour shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM) with no weekends or holidays required. Based at the IU Health Administrative Offices (1120 W. Michigan Street, CL200/Gatch Hall, Indianapolis), the role primarily supports outpatient clinics at Riley Outpatient Center and may include occasional clinic coverage at IU North in Carmel. 

Responsibilities include partnering with providers to implement treatment plans, educating patients and families, coordinating follow-up care, managing medications, and conducting dedicated phone triage. Nurses have the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and families while supporting continuity of care. After the orientation period, RNs may work remotely one day per week. Pediatric experience is preferred.

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
• Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
