Griswold Home Care is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Northern Virginia team in a highly flexible PRN role.
This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys working independently and wants to use their clinical experience in a meaningful way without committing to a traditional full-time nursing schedule.
The role focuses primarily on client assessments, developing and updating Plans of Care, documentation, and clinical oversight for our non-medical home care clients.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct initial client assessments and periodic reassessments
- Develop and update care plans as needed
- Provide clinical oversight consistent with Virginia home care requirements
- Support caregiver competency and training needs
- Review changes in client condition and provide guidance when appropriate
- Complete required documentation and records
- Serve as a clinical resource to our office team
What we’re looking for:
- Current, unrestricted Virginia RN license
- Home care, home health, geriatric, senior care, or related experience preferred
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
- Reliable, responsive, and well organized
- Comfortable communicating with clients, families, caregivers, and office staff
Is this role a good fit for you?
- Schedule flexibility — weekday and/or weekend based on your preference
- No traditional hospital shifts
- Significant autonomy
- Opportunity to make a meaningful impact with an established home care agency
If you’re an experienced RN looking for flexible, part-time work that allows you to stay engaged professionally without taking on a full clinical schedule, we’d love to hear from you.
