Job Description:
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Hours/Days: 5/8.5 hour shifts, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm
Organization: New York Health (NYH)
Key Responsibilities
Administer androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) and testosterone injections in accordance with provider orders and established protocols.
Perform bladder instillations and assist with percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) treatments.
Perform suprapubic and Foley catheter changes and related catheter care.
Assist with office base procedures during the pre,intra, and post op phases.
Conduct pre-operative and post-operative patient phone calls, including education, instruction, and follow-up.
Manage provider inbox messages and complete timely patient call-backs and clinical triage.
Support provider workflows and assist with day-to-day clinical operations as needed.
Participate in on-site training and contribute to the orientation and training of staff.
Document all care, treatments, and patient communications accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record
Valid New York State RN License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching
Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations for patient care needs
Salary: Starting at $52 per hour
