Sage Connections is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 support for a student in a school-based setting for the 2025–2026 school year in Augusta, Maine.

Position Details

• Age Range: 1:1 Assignment


• Hours per Week: 22.5 (3 days per week)


• Schedule: Monday - Thursday; 8:45am - 1:45pm


• Start & End Date: 07/06/26 - 08/13/26 (With option to renew)


• Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: Onsite

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 nursing support throughout the school day


• Student is in wheelchair, needs total care with all ADLs,


• Student has CHARGE syndrome


• Non- verbal, uses a communication board somewhat NPO, has continuous running feeding tube/g-tube


• Needs blood sugar checks (finger sticks) 2 x day (or more if needed) and sometime requires apple juice boluses through g-tube


• 2 person lift for toileting


• Student rides bus to and from school, but does NOT need nurse on bus

Qualifications

• Maine RN license required (active and in good standing)


• Experience working with seizure disorders required


• G-Tube experience required


• Current CPR certification required


• Experience in pediatrics or school-based settings preferred


• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical decision-making skills


• Compassionate and student-centered approach
