Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing patients' cardiac health and history prior to procedures
• Monitoring patients' vital signs and conditions during cath lab procedures
• Administering medications and intravenous lines as per physician orders
• Assisting with cardiac catheterization and angioplasty procedures
• Operating and monitoring specialized equipment such as ECG machines and hemodynamic monitoring devices
• Providing patient education and support regarding cardiac procedures and recovery
• Collaborating with cardiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals during procedures
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient records and procedural details
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to regulatory standards
• Maintaining a clean and safe cath lab environment

• Evening Shift (3pm – 11:30pm) = 8%
• Night Shift (11:00pm – 7:30am) = 11%
• No Weekend Differential

• Associate degree in nursing
• Registered & licensed to practice in the State of Idaho
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke
• Previous ICU, Emergency Department, or Cath Lab experience

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with cardiac or critical care experience preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac assessment and hemodynamic monitoring
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with interdisciplinary teams
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
• Knowledge of cath lab procedures and equipment operation
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
