healthcare system in Wausau, WI to hire Registered Nurses (RNs) for ICU, Critical Care and Step-Down/Progressive Care units.
$36–$51/Hour | Multiple Shifts | Full-Time, Part-Time & PRN

About the Units
These high-acuity units care for patients requiring
close monitoring, advanced nursing interventions and specialized clinical care.
Depending on the unit, RNs may care for:
- Cardiac
and cardiothoracic patients
- Post-surgical
patients
- Telemetry
and progressive-care patients
- Patients
requiring higher-acuity monitoring
- Patients
receiving IV drips and other advanced therapies
- Patients
with chest tubes and central lines
- Complex
admissions, discharges and transfers
What You'll Do
- Provide
safe, compassionate nursing care to high-acuity patients
- Care
for patients with drips, chest tubes, central lines and other specialized
interventions
- Continuously
assess patients and recognize changes in clinical condition
- Manage
patients requiring advanced monitoring and therapies
- Collaborate
with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
- Coordinate
admissions, discharges and patient transfers
- Educate
patients and families throughout the care process
- Maintain
accurate clinical documentation
- Promote
patient safety and evidence-based nursing practice
What We're Looking For
- ADN
or BSN from an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in Wisconsin or
eligibility through a compact license,
- Completion of a Trauma Nursing Core
Course (TNCC)
- 3+
years practicing as an RN in a comparative setting for experienced nurses
- ICU,
critical care, step-down, progressive care, telemetry or other
high-acuity nursing experience
- Certification
in specialty preferred
- BLS
certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- ACLS,
PALS or NRP preferred based on primary department
- Comfortable
in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
New graduate RNs are encouraged to

Telemetry, Step-Down, Progressive Care or other acute-care settings are
also encouraged to apply.
