Job Description:

Charge Nurse

12 hour shift/ 6pm-6am

The Charge Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing and supervising the unit activities for a specified shift

Essential Duties:

• Assesses unit census, patient status, and staffing numbers.
• Develops assignment of licensed/non-licensed that ensures adequate deliver of care
• Addresses patient and staff concerns during shift • Duties as assigned by Director
• Assists team members in giving care to patients, or administers direct care when professional nursing skills and judgment is needed and performs technical aspects of care competently

Requirements

• Three to five years job related experience
• Current RN licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing
