A hospital in Montrose is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join its respiratory care team. This night shift opportunity is ideal for a respiratory professional who is dedicated to delivering high-quality cardiopulmonary care and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.


Position Overview


The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for evaluating, treating, and monitoring patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. Working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, this role provides respiratory therapies, supports critical patient care needs, and responds to emergency respiratory situations throughout the facility.


Key Responsibilities


• Assess patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and modify care plans as appropriate.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures.
• Manage oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, airway support, and ventilator care.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response and critical care situations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress.
• Promote patient safety and quality care across all assigned areas.


Qualifications


• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience.
• Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
