Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for an onsite opportunity in Beckley, West Virginia. This hospital-based position provides respiratory care to patients across multiple areas of the hospital and offers a salary of $59,904-$80,891, a sign-on bonus and partial relocation assistance.

The RRT will deliver and assess respiratory therapies, evaluate patient response, perform diagnostic testing and respond to emergent situations. This position works with minimal or indirect supervision and requires the clinical judgment to make independent decisions while providing respiratory care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

POSITION OVERVIEW
• Deliver respiratory care services to patients throughout the hospital under medical supervision
• Adapt to assigned clinical areas and perform duties specific to the assignment
• Measure lung capacity and analyze blood samples using a blood gas analyzer
• Deliver ordered respiratory therapy according to the patient's plan of care
• Assess and document patient response to therapy
• Monitor, record and communicate changes in patient condition
• Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance, assess patient condition and provide appropriate treatment
• Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research and best practices
• Educate patients and families regarding illness, community support groups and other available resources
• May supervise other respiratory care practitioners
• May assist with orientation and in-service education responsibilities
• Monitor, receive, stock and distribute respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders
• Maintain appropriate equipment and supply levels
• Disassemble, clean and sterilize respiratory equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment

Requirements
• Graduate of a Program in Discipline REQUIRED
• Minimum Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care REQUIRED
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc. REQUIRED
• Current West Virginia respiratory care licensure REQUIRED
• Ability to work onsite in Beckley, WV REQUIRED
