Veterinary Urgent Care of the Desert is a state-of-the-art Urgent Care and Surgery facility located in Palm Desert, California. We are looking for a passionate, talented Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team.

About you:
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with an active California license
Minimum of 2 years of experience, ideally in Urgent Care or Emergency medicine
Consistently displays a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and accountability
High emotional intelligence, empathy, and maturity
Committed to providing the highest quality patient care
Performs well in a team-oriented work environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations
Essential Job Functions:
Medical
All California RVT medical-related job abilities
Will train as needed
Administrative
Assist Care Coordinators with answering phones as needed, using a professional and compassionate tone at all times
Work with technology to ensure efficient workflow
Act as a liaison between doctors, clients, and patients
Obtain client and patient information for medical records
Send messages to clients as needed
Keep in consistent contact with in-hospital team members (via chat and/or phones)
Maintain the flow of each patient visit. Understand where each patient is during every step of the visit process, and consistently keep clients updated
As needed, assist with performing daily callbacks to check on patients and answer client questions
Assist all other healthcare team members as needed
Other duties as needed/assigned

Weekly: four 10-hour shifts, including one weekend day
