Job Overview:
This position is a trained worker who performs patient transportation and designated routine tasks related to the operation of Rehab Services. Under continuous onsite supervision, this position carries out basic therapeutic techniques/patient care needs to assist patients in attaining functional goals. Ongoing written and verbal communication between this position and professional staff is necessary for reporting change in patient status, patient response to intervention, and other patient/family needs. This position performs department duties including preparation and termination of treatment area, maintaining inventory of stock items/linen, and assisting with clerical functions as needed. This position will be expected to be a member of a collaborative team which is patient focused and family centered.
Job Requirements:
High School Degree Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Computer literate
Job Responsibilities:
Completes patient transport in a timely and efficient manner. Assists therapists/nursing when needed in patient treatment care (ie. available in treatment areas between moves to be observing patient in treatment activities, toilieting patients, assisting with feeds, monitoring for patient safety, and assisting with difficult transfers.) Completes assigned responsibilities on Job Duties Checklist. Uses good communication skills with all members of the interdisciplinary team regarding patient care and information as well as any other pertinent information that is related to the workflow.
