The Rehabilitation Technician (Rehab Tech) supports the delivery of high-quality rehabilitation services by assisting Physical or Occupational therapists, Physical therapy assistants, and the Director of Rehabilitation Services with clinical, operational, and administrative tasks. The Rehab Tech helps maintain a safe, organized, and efficient treatment environment that promotes positive patient outcomes and exceptional customer service.
Under the direction and supervision of licensed Therapy personnel, the Rehab Tech may assist with patient preparation, therapy setup, transportation, equipment management, inventory control, environmental maintenance, and administrative functions. The Rehab Tech does not provide skilled therapy services but may assist with patient-related tasks consistent with organizational policy and applicable regulations.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and coworkers.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology preferred.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications and electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The following physical/mental demands are required for the Rehab technician.
Occasional = 33% Frequent = 66% Continuous = 100%
Frequently must be able to be on their feet walking, standing, transporting and/or positioning patients.
Frequently lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds and apply a minimum of 50 pounds of push/pull force while using good body mechanics.
Frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel.
Frequently reach with hands and arms.
Frequently requires bending and stretching while using good body mechanics.
May be exposed to communicable diseases.
