SUMMARY
The Religious Education Coordinator & Youth Minister is responsible for coordinating and administering parish religious education programs, including sacramental preparation for children (e.g., First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion). The coordinator is responsible for the direction of the Pre-K through Youth faith formation. This role supports catechists and volunteers, ensures effective program delivery, and maintains program operations in alignment with diocesan standards. In parishes without a Parish Catechetical Leader, the Coordinator works directly with the Pastor to support the parish’s faith formation efforts. The coordinator is not authorized to teach catechist certification courses in theology.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed mostly in an office setting. Employee may be required to work more than 40 hours including occasional evenings and weekends; performs extensive computer work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to reach, grasp, feel, and see up close and from afar. Must be able to use basic office computer hardware and peripherals, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (15 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
