VIGO has an exciting opportunity for a Remote Commissioning Engineer looking to work with a progressive Internet of Things company specialising in energy management of commercial buildings. If you have BMS/EMS experience and strong communication and problem-solving skills, you could be a perfect fit.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work with the installation teams remotely, ensuring the successful commissioning of the company’s Building and Energy Management Systems. You will be key in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving technical issues leading to efficient energy management.

Role Overview
Your mission as Remote Commissioning Engineer is to smoothly steer installation teams implementing BEMS on customer sites. You will establish a seamless communication channel with the sites while providing clear solutions and advice for problem-solving and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
- Remotely monitor and ensure successful commissioning of installed BEMS
- Serve as main point of contact for installation teams
- Maintain constant communication with the site
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve BEMS issues
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve complex issues
- Conduct root cause analysis on recurring issues
- Escalate unresolved issues to development or engineering teams
- Support installation engineers with technical advice

Ideal Candidate
- Possess knowledge of BMS and EMS
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to guide installation teams
- Able to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
- Capable of explaining technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Understand and interpret detailed technical documentation and reports
- Attention to detail and quality-focused
- Experience in IoT, BMS, or EMS industries (preferred)
- Familiarity with software and hardware associated with energy management and control systems (preferred)
