Family Education Facilitator Job Description

Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Family Education, the Family Education (FE) Facilitator is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Incredible Years Program and Parent Support Groups. The FE Facilitator supports participants and mentors through ongoing engagement, data collection, and program coordination.

The Family Education Facilitator works under the supervision of the Director of Family Education or Designee, who provides general instructions. Work is assigned in terms of functional/organizational objectives. The Director of Family Education or Designee will provide guidance in unusual situations which do not have clear precedents and on an as-needed basis. The employee works independently, resolves problems based on past precedent; exercises judgment in the interpreting guidelines and applicability; and ensures deadlines are met. The employee plans and carries out various stages of a project by selecting and pursuing approved methods and techniques as appropriate. Assignments are reviewed for quality and compliance with established policies and procedures. Reports all cases of suspected abuse or neglect to Childline and County Child and Youth Services as a Mandated Report for the agency.

This position is responsible for the supervision of program volunteers.
Work Environment
This job operates as a remote/off-site position with a shared office space available. While performing the duties of this position the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The employee may experience exposure to dust, pollens, pollutants, fumes, and communicable diseases as related to the healthcare and school environment. The noise level is moderate when being exposed to youth. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. We provide services in the client’s home, school, and community.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is part- or full-time, and typical hours and workdays are Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to meet client and/or organizational needs.
Travel
Frequent travel is expected for this position.

Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State background check, FBI criminal background check, National Sex Offender Registry certificate; Valid driver’s license and motor vehicle check.
