Job Description
Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Originator to join our growing mortgage business and build their business by referral. This is a commission-only position. In this position, you will be responsible for generating new business and helping qualified applicants obtain mortgage loans. This is an opportunity to plug your skillset into our systems, tools, and support to grow your referral database to meet your financial goals.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze loan application documents to determine creditworthiness.
Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
Educate borrowers on available loan products to determine which is the best fit for them.
Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions.
Communicate with borrowers, realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth closing.
Manage client pipeline to ensure consistent service levels from lead to closed
Based on predetermined requirements, assess, and grant or reject mortgage applications.
Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the local real estate market; current and predicted lending rates; and changes in rules, regulations, and best practices of mortgages.
Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with potential new business referral partners.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience & Licensing:
Self-Sourced, Referral-based production is required, leads are not provided
1-3 years experience as a Loan Officer, 3+ closed loans/month preferred
NMLS Licensure in AZ, CA, CO, KS, MO, NM, and/or OR required
