WYOMING BUSINESS COUNCIL – LOAN PORTFOLIO MANAGER

The Loan Portfolio Manager creates opportunities for Wyoming businesses to reach their full potential by partnering with banks and various other entities to identify and secure ideal financing mechanisms. Through a customer-focused and analytical approach, the Loan Portfolio Manager oversees multiple state loan programs by understanding and developing rules, guidelines, and maintaining close relationships with commercial lenders, bond underwriters, economic development groups, and State of Wyoming Attorney General and Treasurer’s Offices. In this role, you will evaluate and analyze clients’ complex business plans, detailed financial statements and projections to assess credit and develop funding recommendations as well as underwrite loans. WBC’s Loan Portfolio Manager is a proactive critical thinker who provides businesses and sometimes communities with informed financing guidance as they seek to start or grow their capacity.

The WBC’s Investment Team understands the financial landscape of economic development necessary to help Wyoming businesses and communities secure the right financing for sustainable projects that contribute to Wyoming’s lasting growth. The investments team develops and administers programs providing financial support to local governments and assists Wyoming businesses in reaching their financial goals through business and industry analysis, credit analysis, financial due diligence, business plan review, large loan applications, and loan processing and services.

As the Loan Portfolio Manager, you know that successful outcomes are the result of careful evaluation balanced with creative options.  You have significant experience and curiosity about banking, bonds, venture capital, or finance along with training in credit analysis, business plan review, all phases of commercial lending, and knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code, banking regulations, banking law, and banking contracts. In this role, you drive results, engage others to implement opportunities and align resources with strategic priorities.

This position has the flexibility to be located anywhere in the state of Wyoming. While WBC does have office space in some locations around the state, it may not be an option where you are located. Applicants are advised to be prepared to work from home and travel frequently.
