  • Coordinate and deliver touchpoints (communications, updates, recognition) that reflect each ministry partner’s intent and legacy.
  • Partner with gift officers to support continuity, trust, and depth in ministry partner relationships

Strategy & Systems Development

  • Design and refine the stewardship strategy for gift planning ministry partners, including segmentation, communication rhythms, and engagement pathways.
  • Build and maintain systems that track ministry partner engagement, milestones, and follow-through.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen ministry partner connection through new content, experiences, or approaches.

Project Management & Coordination

  • Lead coordination of stewardship projects including impact reports, ministry partner updates, and communication cycles.
  • Manage timelines, workflows, and deliverables across teams (Development Services, Communications, and external partners).
  • Create simple, effective tracking systems to ensure follow-through and visibility.

Ministry Partner Communications & Storytelling

  • Draft and edit communications, including stewardship letters, impact reports, campaign updates, and personalized outreach.
  • Translate ministry outcomes into clear, compelling stories that connect legacy giving to present and future impact.
  • Partner with Communications to ensure alignment in voice, tone, and brand.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field required
  • 3–5 years of experience in development, communications, project management, or related field.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to communicate impact clearly and compellingly.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Relational intelligence and attentiveness to ministry partner care; able to operate with discretion and pastoral sensitivity.
  • Experience with estate and gift planning planned giving or estate ministry partners is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to travel 1-3 times a year for team meetings or conferences.
  • A working knowledge of current Microsoft Software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a diverse team environment
