Workers Compensation Assistant Underwriter - CA & AZ

Job Summary

Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Workers Compensation Assistant Underwriter to join a team. This role is a replacement position and offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic department of professionals. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Workers Compensation, the successful candidate will play a key role in quoting new and renewal business for workers' compensation accounts across a wide range of binding markets. This is a fully remote position available to candidates residing in California or Arizona.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 annually, based on experience.


• Performance-Based Bonus: Eligible for additional compensation based on performance.


• Remote Work: Fully remote position with company-provided equipment.

Responsibilities

• Quote new and renewal workers' compensation business across binding markets.


• Manage accounts ranging in size from $1,000 to $100,000.


• Collaborate with a team of underwriters to ensure timely and accurate processing of policies.


• Maintain strong relationships with binding markets, leveraging access to over 25 markets.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.


• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Licenses/Designations: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.


• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of high-volume binding market experience in workers' compensation.


• Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software tools (details to be discussed during the interview process).
