Position Summary

The Regional Clinical Specialist serves as a clinical subject matter expert across key healthcare domains including infection control, wound care, surgical services, vascular access, advanced cardiac support therapies, durable medical equipment, remote patient monitoring, and related care environments.


This role partners closely with field sales teams to provide expert clinical education, product implementation support, and strategic customer engagement that drives adoption, revenue growth, and long-term customer satisfaction. The specialist plays a critical role throughout the customer lifecycle—from evaluation and onboarding to optimization and retention.


Key Responsibilities


Clinical Expertise & Field Support




  • Serve as a clinical authority providing training and support to internal teams, customers, distributors, and partners.




  • Lead field-based product evaluations, conversions, and implementation initiatives.




  • Develop customized account training plans aligned with customer needs and business objectives.




  • Provide clinical mentorship and education to field sales representatives and contract clinical staff to ensure consistency, competence, and measurable return on training investment.




Education & Program Development




  • Design and deliver professional education programs for healthcare professionals and internal teams.




  • Develop high-quality training materials, presentations, and digital learning content.




  • Lead continuing education initiatives and contribute to accreditation processes as applicable.




  • Conduct customer needs assessments and recommend targeted education or troubleshooting strategies.




  • Utilize digital learning platforms, webinar technologies, and eLearning tools to deliver scalable education programs.




Customer Experience & Relationship Management




  • Shape the customer experience across the sales and post-sale lifecycle, influencing product utilization and long-term retention.




  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key opinion leaders and clinical consultants.




  • Represent the organization at professional conferences, trade shows, and industry events through presentations and educational outreach.




Clinical Research & Innovation




  • Provide clinical input into new product development initiatives and product launch strategies.




  • Support clinical research activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.




  • Maintain expertise in current clinical guidelines, regulatory standards, and competitive market trends.




Cross-Functional Collaboration




  • Partner with marketing, sales, quality, regulatory, and leadership teams to develop clinical messaging and sales enablement tools.




  • Utilize business systems and CRM platforms for project management, communication, and tracking deliverables.




  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and code of conduct standards.




Qualifications


Experience




  • 5+ years of clinical nursing experience in one or more of the following areas: Operating Room, Wound Care, Infection Control, Vascular Access, and/or Critical Care.




  • 3–5 years in a nursing leadership, educator, or clinical management role.




  • 3–5 years of experience supporting the medical device or healthcare technology industry preferred, particularly in customer-facing clinical roles.




Education




  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.




  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Business Administration preferred.




Credentials




  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing required.




  • Advanced nursing certifications such as Wound Care, Perioperative Nursing, Infection Control, or Critical Care preferred.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. for demonstrations and training setup.




  • Frequent standing, walking, and mobility in hospitals, conference centers, airports, and other customer environments.
