Our client, a leading provider of technical education and training solutions, is seeking a Sales Associate to grow their presence across Southern California's Education Market. With exclusive product lines and a growing install base, this is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to build a business and relationships from the ground up.
This is a true outside sales position focused on colleges, universities, and workforce programs, ideal for someone experienced in CTE, curriculum-aligned equipment, and solution-based sales. You’ll be backed by a highly supportive sales structure but operate independently within your territory.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and develop relationships with Education institutions across Southern California - emphasizing technical training programs (e.g., automation, robotics, welding, manufacturing).
Developing new business opprotunities.
Maintaining existing client accounts.
Present and sell physical training equipment and lab solutions, often bundled with curriculum and instructional integration.
Work directly with deans, department heads, and workforce development leaders to understand instructional goals and recommend equipment-based solutions.
Build awareness and usage of exclusive product lines within your market.
Track and report pipeline activity, key customer interactions, and territory development.
Serve as a brand ambassador at relevant trade shows, industry events, and campus visits.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Sales Experience: 3-5+ years of B2B outside sales
Education Sector Exposure: Experience selling into higher education, technical colleges, or workforce development environments. (preferred)
Hunter Mentality: Capable of hitting the ground running, initiating cold calls, walking onto campuses, and building credibility from scratch.
Independent Operator: Prior experience working remotely, managing your own schedule, and operating without daily oversight.
Highly Personable: Charismatic, engaging, and likable - able to build trust quickly and represent a sophisticated portfolio.
Adaptable Learner: Able to grasp complex technical concepts across a wide product set and communicate them in practical, solution-oriented terms.
Preferred Qualifications
Background selling into colleges, universities, or training programs
Exposure to CTE, STEM, or industrial trades
Technical aptitude and product demonstration comfort
Experience managing a territory and travel-heavy schedule
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Compensation & Perks
Year 1 On-Target Earnings (OTE): Starting at 85k – With upward mobility based on experience
Note: No commissions through the remainder of the current calendar year
$400/month vehicle stipend + full fuel reimbursement

Work Style
Fully remote, field-based role
Travel within Southern California, with ~1 overnight/week
