Senior Back-End Software Engineer

Inventi is a financial application development company specializing in the financial sector. We offer innovative products like Payment Gateway, Regulatory Reporting Connector and Verification of Payee (VoP), alongside tailored services, using cutting-edge technology to keep customers ahead. 

We are looking for a Senior Back-End Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) who is ready to lead the design and delivery of reliable, scalable, and secure fintech products. You'll join a cross-functional squad, where engineers, product managers, and analytics work closely together to deliver real value to our customers. You'll be writing production-ready code in the JVM ecosystem, driving technical decisions, and shaping the long-term evolution of Inventi's platforms.

The role:

• Develop and maintain core components of our payments and compliance products.
• Write clean, tested, and well-structured code that directly impacts how businesses operate.
• Collaborate with your product team to design, implement, and release new features.
• Lead technical decisions within your squad: own solution design, set engineering standards, review code, and mentor other engineers.
• Drive architectural decisions on microservices, event-driven systems, and scalability.
• Continuously improve existing systems, ensuring performance, resilience, and security.
• Use AI as part of your daily work. AI is already embedded in how we build, and we're looking for someone keen to use it and help us get even more out of it.

What you bring:

• 5+ years of experience in JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot, Maven, RDBMS & SQL, Git.
• A passion for clean code, testing, and modern development practices like SOLID, design patterns, etc.
• Solid experience with containerization (Docker), distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
• A track record of making and defending technical decisions, and of helping other engineers grow.
• Experience using AI tools in your development workflow
• Bonus points for experience with Kafka, Kubernetes or Google Cloud.
• Curiosity and a proactive mindset: you don’t just write code, you want to understand the product impact behind it.
