Full-time

Description

The Solution Architect – Integrated Modular Solutions (IMS) serves as the technical design authority for mission-critical modular infrastructure solutions supporting Hyperscale and HPC data center environments. This role leads architectural design, system configuration, and technical strategy for integrated electrical, mechanical, and structural systems within Hyper’s modular product portfolio.

Operating at the intersection of Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customers, this position translates complex technical requirements into scalable, code-compliant, and manufacturable solutions. The Solution Architect plays a critical role in ensuring technical integrity throughout the full project lifecycle—from concept development through manufacturing and deployment.

 Core Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural development and system configuration for Integrated Modular Solutions, including structural, mechanical, and electrical integration
  • Own pre-sale technical solution design, including one-line diagrams, system layouts, equipment selection, and configuration strategy
  • Serve as the primary technical interface with customers during solution development and architectural discussions
  • Evaluate customer requirements and develop architectures aligned with Tier I–IV data center standards and mission-critical power requirements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, UL standards, and industry regulations
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Sales to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
  • Provide technical oversight through design reviews, submittal development, and manufacturing release activities
  • Lead technical portions of RFI/RFP responses and customer presentations

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support development and refinement of standardized IMS configurations and scalable architectural frameworks
  • Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) oversight and field issue resolution when required
  • Provide technical mentorship and knowledge sharing across Engineering and Sales teams
  • Contribute to long-term architectural roadmap planning for IMS product platforms
  • Support configuration tool development and architectural standardization initiatives
  • Assist in improving technical documentation, processes, and system design consistency

What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day

  • Reviewing customer specifications and translating requirements into technical solution architectures
  • Developing one-line diagrams, layouts, and integrated system configurations
  • Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and scalable
  • Participating in customer meetings and technical design reviews
  • Supporting proposal development, submittals, and technical presentations
  • Providing technical guidance during manufacturing and deployment activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, critical power systems, modular infrastructure, or application engineering
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage power distribution systems including switchboards, PDUs, RPPs, STSs, transformers, and associated controls
  • Experience developing one-line diagrams, power system architectures, and equipment configurations
  • Experience reviewing RFQ/RFI/RFP documentation and customer technical specifications
  • Working knowledge of MEP integration within modular or prefabricated environments
  • Strong technical leadership and customer-facing communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience supporting Tier I–IV data center power system architectures
  • Experience with prefabricated or modular infrastructure solutions
  • Experience leading technical design reviews or customer solution discussions
  • Familiarity with UL certification processes and compliance documentation
  • Experience contributing to product standardization or configuration tool development
  • Experience with 3D modeling or rendering tools such as SketchUp or Revit
