Our products power hundreds of military and commercial aircraft platforms with a focus on improved reliability, weight reduction, and fuel efficiency. Components \u0026 products developed at our location are used for the Mar\u2019s Rover, protecting the Declaration of Independence, and keeping passengers cool and safe as they travel to their favorite vacation destinations. Eaton\u2019s comprehensive portfolio sets the industry standard for engineering excellence, customized solutions for today\u2019s industry needs while developing new technologies for next-generation aircraft designs.\n\nIn this role, you will:\n\n * Evaluate components for repair\n * Dis-assembly and assembly of precision components\n * Perform various repair operations such as sandblasting, cleaning, spray coating\n * Metal fitting, polishing, grinding or sanding parts to specifications.\n * Safely perform testing of components using high air pressure or water under pressure\n * Operate manual lathes and drill press to perform a sequence of precision operations such as machining, grinding, carbon boring on a variety of metal components.\n * Read blueprints and in accordance with standard shop practices.\n * Ensure quality of parts through visual inspection and physical measurement using a wide variety of hand tools and gages.\n * Work in accordance with general safety rules and practices.\n * Keeps immediate work area clean and free from hazards following 5S+ guidelines.\n * Responsible for finished parts conformity to procedure, print or specification.\n * Participate in continuous improvement of processes.\n * Work as a team player and multi-task.\n * Perform other related duties as assigned.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualification:\n\n * High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.\n * Minimum of 3 years of operations experience as a repair technician \n * This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. \u0027Green Card Holder\u0027), Political Asylee, or Refugee.\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Associates or Technical degree in machining/maintenance from an accredited institution\n * Minimum of 3 years of operations experience\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Ability to use advanced shop math and use of precision measuring instruments such as dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and depth gauges\n * Basic understanding of blueprint drawings and ability to follow detailed written instructions\n * Ability to certify in Auto-TIG welding, Seam Welding, and/or Laser Welding\n\n\n\nPhysical requirements:\n\n * Exposure to oil, dust, dirt, and heat.\n * Participation in DOT random drug \u0026 alcohol testing program for safety sensitive work.\n * Position requires wearing PPE including apron, safety glasses, and hearing protection\n * Ability to stand up to 8 hours a day and lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\n\n\nThis position is classified as a safety\u2011sensitive role under applicable U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
