We seeking a Research Associate II interested in translating discoveries through Ex vivo and in vitro experiments. We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate II who can develop and implement exploratory and validation in vitro studies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrate proficiency in basic in-vitro laboratory techniques.
• Follow the detailed protocols to execute molecular, cellular, and biochemistry experiments to support
• in vivo translational research
• Work closely with team members to develop and optimize fit-for-purpose assays, such as ELISA, Western blots simple molecular biology techniques like, RNA isolation/qPCR and library preparations for single cell sequencing.
• Ability to assist In vivo scientists with tissue harvest and sample preparation for downstream processing.
• Coordinate work with external CROs and internal technology collaborators.
• Develop an understanding of and regularly utilize available information resources any preparation systems (e.g., SOPs, policies, computer applications).
• Document experimental data in technical notebooks or approved electronic files including activities undertaken, existing conditions, observed results and variation from expected data patterns.
• Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures as well as prepare data for inclusion in project reports.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and understanding in his/her assigned area of responsibility.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
To qualify for this role, candidates must have one of the following combinations of education/experience:
• Bachelor’s of Science in a Life Science discipline, such as biology, veterinary science, or a related field
• 1 years of experience with directly related work experience in laboratory technical skills as detailed above
OR
• Associate of Science degree in a Life Science discipline, such as biology, veterinary science, or a related field
• 2 years of experience with directly related work experience in laboratory technical skills as detailed above
OR
• High school diploma/GED
• four (4) years directly related work experience in laboratory animal husbandry and technical skills as detailed above required.
The pay range for this position is $35-47 USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
