Job Description - Research Technician I






Overview






The goal of the Bettelli Lab at the Benaroya Research Institute is to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the development of autoimmunity and finding means to limit them.









Responsibilities






We are recruiting a highly motivated Research Technician to support and perform laboratory experiments on adaptive and innate immune cells. A variety of cellular and molecular techniques will likely be used to address the phenotype and functions of murine and human cells. This will include but will not be limited to flow cytometry, cell culture, gene expression analysis, cytokine quantification and immunohistochemistry. The Research Technician will support and collaborate with other lab members, and should be capable of maintaining detailed laboratory records, analyzing data, and reporting experimental results.









Qualifications






This position requires a BA/BS in a scientific field and research laboratory experience. Experience working with mice, cellular and molecular biology techniques is also required. A successful candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, critical thinking, accuracy and ability to learn and grow within the role









Compensation






$24.05 to $34.15 per hour
