RESIDENT ENGINEER PE (CONSTRUCTION) 

Job Description

The applicant will be responsible for supervising, directing, and coordinating construction management and/or Bridge construction projects including direct liaison with owner, designers, and contractors regarding project feasibility, cost, staffing, completion, maintenance. Will negotiate change orders with contractor, formulate and implement budget and work plan; prepare project status reports, and oversee the construction in accordance with contract documents. Ability to supervise inspectors. Coordinate with private utilities, property owners, businesses etc. Ability to communicate through e-mails and be a liaison with HCTRA & Design Engineer.

Qualifications

Urban street construction experience and particularly bridges, concrete and asphalt pavement replacement. Traffic control issues. Coordination with private utilities (HL&P, Entex, SWBT, cable companies, etc.) to relocate their lines prior to waterline and pavement construction. 

Years Experience: 10+ years experience in field.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

Licensure: Professional Engineer - Texas Civil

Relevent Experience MUST include Harris County Toll Road Authority or TxDOT standard projects with Bridge construction experience being a preference.

SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

Texas PE 

Texas Toll Road Construction Experience 

Bridge construction management experience 

If not toll road, TXDOT Bridge construction experience.
