Residential Advisor at Job Corps – Empower Youth and Shape Futures

Position Overview: As a Residential Advisor, you will provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment for our students. You will oversee daily activities, help manage behaviors, and guide students towards achieving their performance goals. This role is crucial in helping our students grow and succeed both personally and professionally.

Shifts Available: Evening and Overnight, including weekends and holidays (This is not a live-in position).

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily activities and ensure students adhere to their schedules, including wake-up and timely arrival to assignments.
• Monitor and assist students in personal hygiene and room chores.
• Ensure all students are prepared for the training day.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records as per guidelines.
• Conduct group sessions on life skills, peer mediation, and conflict resolution.
• Maintain dorm cleanliness and readiness for inspections.
• Act as a role model, demonstrating our core values and career success standards.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Prior experience working with at-risk youth preferred.
• Availability to work evening or overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
