Job Description - Residential Maintenance Technician

The Residential Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing residential units, building systems, and common areas. This role completes work orders, performs preventive maintenance, and helps ensure a safe, clean, and

comfortable living environment for residents.

 

Location: Portland, Ca | Residential Building


Shift: Monday - Friday | Day Shift


Payrate: $26-30 hourly rate | Weekly pay


The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.   A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


-Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.

 

-Perform repairs and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance systems.

 

-Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues within residential units and common areas.

 

-Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on building systems and equipment.

 

-Prepare vacant units for new residents, including inspections, repairs, painting, and cleaning coordination.

 

-Repair doors, windows, locks, cabinets, flooring, drywall, and other building components.

 

-Replace and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, and garbage disposals.

 

-Maintain and repair household appliances including refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, and laundry equipment.

 

-Assist with HVAC maintenance, filter changes, inspections, and minor repairs.

 

-Maintain accurate records of completed work orders, inspections, and inventory usage.

Required Qualifications

-High school diploma or GED required.

 

-Minimum 1-3 years of residential, apartment, or facility maintenance experience preferred.

 

-Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry.

 

-Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 

-Excellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and meet deadlines.
$26 - $30 a week
