Residential Remodeling Production Assistant/Laborer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Lars Remodeling & Design, a full service design-build home remodeling company based in San Diego, is hiring a Residential Remodeling Production Assistant/Laborer to join our team. The position of Production Assistant/Laborer is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the Production Team in all aspects of a project from beginning to end. Participating as a hands-on worker within the requirements of projects to ensure on-time completion.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor daily schedule to know where to go, who to contact, and what to do at site.

Drive company dump truck to sites, clean jobsite debris from site, and deliver/dump at the local landfill. This includes lifting, shoveling, sweeping, raking, and bagging up site debris.

Securing each truckload to assure no loose debris leaves truck during transportation.

Document jobsite visits and progress by inserting notes and photos daily.

Assist Project Managers with preparation of project site layout, and any miscellaneous tasks as needed. Full working knowledge of the Production Team processes and procedures is expected.

At the direction of the Project Managers, provide services such as material acquisition, material and parts pickup and delivery to site.

Monitor jobsites for compliance in cleanliness, safety, and security.

Communicate on a regular basis to all Project Managers and the Director of Production any issues or circumstances that arise on a project.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Customer service experience and excellent communication skills working well with others.

Organizational skills and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Able to perform physical tasks such as but not limited to climbing a ladder, lifting heavy objects, shoveling debris, raking dirt, sweeping, and washing down site.

Able to perform all tasks without supervision.

Able to operate an Apple iPhone to document progress and monitor scheduling through production app.

Computer skills including MS Office and Outlook.

Able to work overtime if/when needed.

Maintain a valid driver's license.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Must be fluent in English.
