Job Overview
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join its hospital-based Respiratory Therapy team in Grants Pass, Oregon. This permanent night-shift opportunity is open to experienced Respiratory Therapists, and qualified new graduates may also be considered.
The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients throughout the hospital, including medical units, adult critical care, and the emergency department. The position requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to respond confidently to routine and emergency respiratory needs.
Compensation is determined by experience and placement level:
Respiratory Care Practitioner I: $36.79–$55.20 per hour
Respiratory Care Practitioner II: $39.91–$59.88 per hour
Respiratory Care Practitioner III: $43.31–$64.97 per hour
Responsibilities
Administer respiratory treatments to patients on medical units, in adult critical care, and in the emergency department
Provide breathing treatments and secretion-mobilization therapies
Manage noninvasive and invasive mechanical ventilation
Assist physicians and clinical staff with intubation procedures
Participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other emergency responses
Draw, process, and analyze arterial blood gases
Obtain electrocardiograms as ordered
Assess patient response to respiratory treatments and adjust care according to established protocols
Document assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
Maintain and operate respiratory therapy equipment safely
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to coordinate patient care
Provide respiratory therapy coverage throughout the hospital
Float between hospital departments and care areas based on patient and staffing needs
Manage an average workload of approximately 12–14 treatments per four-hour round or four to five ventilated patients

OmniCell medication dispensing system
Epic electronic medical record
Qualifications
Required
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care
RRT credential required; CRT-only candidates cannot be considered
Active Oregon Respiratory Therapist license, or ability to obtain the required license before starting
Current Basic Life Support certification
Knowledge of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
Ability to perform respiratory treatments, blood gas collection and analysis, emergency response, and intubation assistance
Ability and willingness to provide respiratory therapy coverage throughout the hospital
Willingness to float to other locations or departments when operationally needed
Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts
Preferred
Minimum of one year of Respiratory Therapy experience
Acute-care hospital experience
Adult critical-care or emergency department experience
Experience using Epic
Familiarity with Avea, Puritan Bennett, V60, Vision, or high-frequency oscillatory ventilators
Qualified new graduates with the required RRT credential and Oregon licensure may be considered.

Nursing-unit locations
Equipment and supply locations
Department workflow and operational expectations
