The Restaurant Cook is responsible for preparing delicious and visually appealing meals in accordance with established recipes and restaurant standards. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and portion guidelines.
Set up and stock workstations with the necessary ingredients and equipment.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a clean kitchen.
Please monitor food preparation and presentation to make sure it's consistent.
Help in receiving, storing, and rotating food inventory.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet order demand.
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas
Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Follow all restaurant policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred.
Familiarity with various cooking methods, tools, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain).
Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Full-time or part-time.
Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
