Job Description:

What This Position is All About

Under direction from the Operations Manager, the cafe cook is responsible for producing high quality food within established period standards while providing customer service, establishing and helping to maintain customer relationships and working effectively with other team members within the café and the store.

Who You Are: 

• A strong knowledge of the food industry as to trends and overall newness to stay competitive.

• A proven leader with a focus on developing individual team members.

• You create a collaborative work environment by flexing your interpersonal skills

• Ability to solve problems quickly and ensure Client satisfaction is upmost importance.

You Also Have:

• Minimum 3 year’s café/fast food experience

• Ability to work in a team

• Possession of strong technical background in specialty skills such as communication, server, cooking, multitasking, cleanliness, organization skills

• Knowledge of food/Hospitality industry trends including bookkeeping skills preferred but not required

• Openness to learning and developing new skills and processes

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred

As The Cook, You Will:

• Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.

• Focus on achieving and exceeding individual performance and productivity goals.

• Maintain a consistent high level of customer service by creating and developing excellent customer relationships.

• Follow all Saks Fifth Avenue policies and procedures.

• Follow food storage procedures according to the storage safety handbook.

• Focus on all efforts on providing an exceptional customer experience.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Support company/store and department initiatives.

• Ad hoc responsibilities as needed
