THE ROLE

Chetola Resort is seeking friendly, energetic, and service-oriented Food Runners/Bussers to join the team at Haven, our signature restaurant.

In this dual role, you will help create a seamless and memorable dining experience by delivering food promptly and accurately, supporting servers, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment. WHAT YOU’LL DO

Guest Service & Food Running

• Deliver food from the kitchen to guests promptly, accurately, and with a warm, professional demeanor.
• Confirm dishes and table numbers before leaving the kitchen to ensure accurate delivery.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and communicate relevant information when presenting dishes.
• Coordinate closely with servers, chefs, and other team members to maintain the timing and flow of service.
• Assist with guest requests and respond promptly and professionally to support an exceptional dining experience.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen-awareness procedures.

Dining Room Support & Bussing

• Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently according to Haven’s service and presentation standards.
• Monitor tables and dining areas throughout service, anticipating when assistance is needed.
• Refill water glasses and assist with beverages, table maintenance, and other guest needs.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, server stations, and side-work areas.
• Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils promptly and discreetly.
• Ensure tables are properly set, polished, and ready to welcome the next guests.

Teamwork & Operations

• Support servers and other front-of-house team members during all stages of service, particularly during peak periods.
• Assist with polishing silverware and glassware, folding linens, stocking supplies, and completing assigned side work.
• Communicate proactively with the front-of-house and culinary teams regarding service needs, delays, or guest concerns.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Work collaboratively with the entire Haven team to deliver polished, efficient, and gracious service.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support restaurant and resort operations.

• Order accuracy: Dishes confirmed against table and seat numbers before leaving the kitchen
• Food presentation: Plates handled carefully and delivered without disrupting their presentation
• Service timing: Food delivered promptly and in coordination with the kitchen and service team
• Table maintenance: Used dishes and glassware cleared discreetly while water and other table needs are monitored
• Dining room readiness: Tables cleaned, reset, and carefully inspected according to Haven’s presentation standards
• Station organization: Server stations stocked, clean, and prepared with the supplies needed for efficient service
• Guest awareness: Guest needs anticipated and addressed promptly, warmly, and professionally
• Clear communication: Servers and culinary team members kept informed of special requests, delays, and service needs

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn menu items, table numbers, service procedures, and food-allergen protocols.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry trays, dishes, and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and safely move throughout the dining room and kitchen.
• Commitment to following food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety practices.
