General Summary

Assistant Managers are responsible for ensuring that associates provide exceptional customer service, while achieving sales goals. This includes ensuring customer satisfaction, driving sales, building sales skills and product knowledge. Effective Assistant Managers maximize productivity and profitability by balancing sales and expenses, identifying sales opportunities and setting customer service standards. They must demonstrate knowledge of the store’s purpose and goals and have the skills to help associates achieve those goals.

Work Life Balance

This position is with a team that respects your life outside of work. We believe in earning your trust through clear communication. We schedule two weeks in advance, working with you so you can plan.  This management position requires some nights and rotating weekends.

Major Responsibilities

The major responsibilities for this position include:

•              Provide a positive representation of Hahn Ace Hardware

•              Train, coach and observe associates using the basic S.A.L.E.S. process.

•              Ensure that we are meeting the needs of our customers and providing unparalleled customer service

•              Provide input into merchandising decisions to the store manager

•              Resolve customer and employee complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner

•              Lead associate team to accomplish store goals

•              Be proficient in all store technology (i.e., ACENET, POS system)

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 40 pounds consistently and stand/walk for up to eight hours in a shift.
