Retail Assistant Manager - Full Time

Manage overall daily operations of assigned retail outlet(s). Ensure the integrity of the department by managing staff to meet company standards. . Ensure the store is adequately staffed and stocked. Work with buyers to help maintain optimum product mix, proper levels of inventory and correct sku maintenance.  

• Supervise retail staff and daily operations. 

• Ensure that a professional and high standard of customer service is consistently provided. 

• Train and instruct staff in proper performance of job duties; monitor compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures. 

• Hire, coach, evaluate, discipline and schedule team members. 

• Maintain adequate staffing levels in response to business demands. 

• Manage and oversee merchandise displays, cleanliness, and organization of store and storage areas. 

• Monitor inventory levels. 

• Verify and authorize cash transactions e.g. bank issuance, voids, and over rings. 

• Ensure proper pricing of merchandise. 

• Respond to and resolve customer complaints. 

• Increase revenue through customer service, merchandise and sales skills.  

• Must be at least 21 years of age. 

• One (1) year of prior experience in a supervisory position (or higher) in a retail store preferred. 

• Knowledge of product lines and retail operations. 

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. 

• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. 

• Must be detail-oriented. 

• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
