Retail Basel Program - Senior Analyst

The Retail Basel Program Management Office is responsible for end-to-end Basel process for all retail exposures in Cit's Consumer, Commercial, TTS, and Private Bank. The team is responsible for developing comprehensive strategy, implementation oversight, and program management. The team, through its oversight role, will leverage in-business experts to share best practices, strengthen controls, and explore optimization strategies.
The Retail Basel Program team is looking for a Vice President who will be responsible for portfolio analytics and management of testing strategy - covering both Advanced and Standardized Approaches, on Risk and Finance systems and platforms.
Program management
• Manage the staging and testing process for the Retail Basel Program - working with Basel Coordinators in dozens of businesses globally, and managing the Retail Analytics FRO team and the GCBC Operations team
• Develop and implement controls and metrics for monthly tests of data restatements, and other changes which can impact total Banking RWA
Analytics
• Perform analysis on risk pools or portfolios to ensure the success of tests, ability to understand variance in outcomes
• Develop and execute controls on test to ensure only approved data is moved to production
Qualifications :
• Knowledge of key Client systems (GCBC, BAL) required
• Data analytics: Expert proficiency in Excel, Access a must. Strong SAS programming skills, familiarity with R beneficial.
• Basel Analytics: Extensive Knowledge of Retail Basel – ability to explain variance in RWA by looking at pool level parameter movements. Ability to determine root cause for variance and identify outliers.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently
• Analytical problem solving ability; an ability to ask insightful questions, break analytical challenges into workable components and draw meaningful conclusions

Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferred
